After more than a century, the old station was closed in 2011 and then renovated, while trains were shifted to a new station. When you visit make sure to also see the remnants of the abandoned coal mine behind the station and the “husband-wife” trees, a pair of banyan trees that appear to be holding hands like a couple offering one another support. |
